The story began in Sweden almost 23 years ago with an orthopedic pillow, which has successfully captured the world market… In 1986, Swedish entrepreneur Carl-Emil Christensen and his wife Sissel set about searching for a natural and healthy way to fight Sissel's neck pains.
As a therapist, she had the professional knowledge which requirements an effective neck pillow had to meet — the SISSEL® pillow was born and a philosophy made its way far beyond the Swedish borders. Many experts from therapy, hospitals and rehabilitation applied the pillow and the success of its function reflects in many current clinical studies as well as millions of sold neck pillows and relaxedly sleeping customers worldwide.
With this unique product, a Swedish success story began. Facts about Sweden
The Kingdom of Sweden with the capital Stockholm is one of the last countries in Europe with impressive, nearly unspoiled areas. 80 percent of Sweden consists of “ancient” nature: forests, lakes and rivers, moors, mountains and wilderness characterize the Swedish landscape.
Sweden has a low population density. At 450 km², Sweden has only a total population of about 9 million. Approximately 20 inhabitants per square kilometer.
